Stories about teaching and learning come in all shapes and sizes.* Your story of teaching and learning contains ideas and characters from your personal teaching and learning life. It is as unique to you as are your fingerprints. Because each individual filters new theories through old stories, we have made our goals for this series as broad as possible. As we share some theories, ideas and stories, we hope you will join us in thinking about the story form of play.
YOUR GOALS:
Knock loose old ideas about story.
Become more aware of children’s stories.
Develop your own collecting, connecting and nurturing techniques.
(*Our Teaching and Learning story can be found under Theory into Practice, the last menu item in Part 3, Becoming & Was. Saber-toothed tigers regularly appear in our brains. In Theory Into Practice, the tiger is joined by an elephant, a skeleton and some bubbles.)
